ADR-0017: Claude.ai Team Subscription - Full Dev Team Onboarding¶

Context¶
Claude.ai was already in active use within the team for AI-assisted development tasks. Following positive results, the decision was made to onboard the entire development team. This expansion required moving to a structured Team plan with centralized billing and admin controls covering all developers.
Decision¶
All developers are onboarded to the Claude.ai Team plan, effective June 19, 2026. Recurring monthly cost:

Options Considered¶
- Individual / ad-hoc accounts – rejected; no centralized billing or admin visibility, unscalable as the team grows.
- Claude Enterprise – rejected; significantly higher cost with no capability gain at current team scale.
- Partial onboarding – rejected; inconsistent tooling access across the team creates friction and unfair access distribution.
Consequences¶
- $550.00/month recurring cost starting June 19, 2026.
- Seat count must be revisited whenever team size changes.
- Premium seat allocation should be reviewed quarterly based on usage data.
